Policies

All sleds are guided for guest security and dog safety. Generally, tours are booked with 2 adults per sled. If there is an odd number of adults, then we will have a single in one sled, however they are charged the single rate (equal to 2 adult prices). This guarantees that no strangers are added to that single - sled groupings are exclusive to each group. When booking as 2, we do not add anyone to the sled, or split people up. The sleds may accommodate 3-4 people, upon approval from the office, as long as it includes small children and does not exceed our height/weight maximum.

Please dress in warm winter gear (ski suits etc.), especially foot and head gear. We do not accept anyone in street shoes or running shoes. Howling Dog Tours reserves the right to turn away improperly dressed participants; no refund will be issued.

For 1-3 sleds, Howling Dog Tours requires full payment at time of booking when within 30 days of the tour. For bookings made more than 30 days ahead, a 50% deposit is required, and then final payment is due 5 days prior to the tour.

For 4 or more sleds, a 50% deposit is required at time of booking, and final payment is due 7 days prior to the tour.

Payments can be made by credit card via a secure payment link, or e-transfer.

Bookings of less than 3 sleds

Tours cancelled up to 72 hours prior to tour will be subject to a full refund minus a $20 administrative fee. Within 72 hours of the tour, no cancellations will be accepted. There will be a 100% charge for tours cancelled within 72 hours.

Anyone who is late for, or misses, a scheduled pick-up time, or is not at the trailhead at the time of tour departure will be considered a "no-show" and there will be a 100% charge. We suggest calling our office if there is potential that you will be late—we will do our best to accommodate the situation.

Bookings of 3 sleds or more:

There is a 100% charge for cancellations within 7 days of the tour, or for missed tours. Tours cancelled prior to the 7 days will have the deposit refunded, minus a $20 administrative fee.

ALL BOOKINGS: Howling Dog Tours will run tours weather permitting; if extreme temperatures and/or dangerous road conditions place the guests or dogs in danger we reserve the right to cancel. No money will be charged.

Howling Dog Tours reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tours to meet daily or trip departure minimums.

Participants will be required to sign a waiver before departure; anyone under the age of 18 years must have a parent or guardian sign.

Anyone who is pregnant or has a medical condition, please mention this at the time of booking, as certain restrictions apply.
