Full time from November or December (when there is enough snow to run tours) until tours end in April.

Requirements
Must have a class 4 drivers license (Alberta or other Canadian equivalent); winter driving experience, neat appearance and excellent interpersonal skills. Weekend work required, up to 11 hour shifts. Knowledge of Banff and Canmore an asset. Driver’s abstract required. Staff housing is not available. This is a non-smoking position. Based in Canmore. Wage is $17.00-$20.00 per hour (depending upon experience).
This position is based out of the kennel, 10km east of Canmore, so daily transportation (or car pooling) is required.

Duties
Shuttle the winter dogsled guests from Banff or Canmore to the Spray Lakes dogsled site and back, up to 4 departures per day. Van drivers are responsible for meeting guests, getting waivers signed, and checking in with the office on a regular basis during the day. Drivers are required to fill out daily vehicle log reports, perform walk-around inspection of vehicle, minor maintenance, and cleaning of vans.
Dog Sled Tour Guides - Now accepting resumes for winter work!

Requirements
Must LOVE dogs, be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects, and be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Previous work with animals or guiding preferred. Guides are required to have (or be willing to obtain) a valid first aid/CPR certification. Preference given to Canmore residents. Staff housing is not available. This is a non-smoking position. Base of work is the kennel between Canmore and Exshaw, so a vehicle or reliable ride is required. Must commit the full season to end of April. Wage is $16-18 per hour, depending upon experience, plus bonus and gratuities.

Duties
- Kennel duties (before and after running tours, or on days when no tours run) – feeding, watering, cleaning, general maintenance (gear repairs), changing or adding straw to dog houses, shovelling snow in the yard, dog first aid and medications.
- Dogsled tours – run 2 or 4 hour tours, with up to 4 guests per trip (usually couples, but can have families with small kids), up to 8 hours per day. Provide excellent customer care while driving the dog teams with attention to the dogs' performance. Trail grooming (cleaning and shovelling bumps) shifts are rotated through all guiding staff. Driving trucks and/or truck towing a trailer may be required.

Requirements
Must have sales and computer experience (good keyboarding speed), excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills. Must be organized, and have great attention to detail. Marketing and bookkeeping experience an asset, as well as previous work in a busy office or customer service setting. Shift and weekend work required. Knowledge of the Canmore/Banff area an asset. Must be able to work independently. Position is based in Canmore in a second floor office (stairway access only).
Staff housing is not available. Wage is $17.00 per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour bonus for contract completion. Position runs to end of April.

- Reservation Agent duties: Selling tours and taking reservations by phone and e-mail/web. Various office duties include snack preparation, dispatch work with van drivers, trip scheduling, marketing and sales promotions, some bookkeeping and daily reconciliations. General office cleaning.
